Week 57 - God's hand is in all things

Hi everyone!!

This week my testimony of God's hand in all things was truly strengthened. Every night when we take a look back on our day and all that happened, we realize how so many of the details must have been orchestrated by Him.

One example is that on Friday, we turned a corner in this neighborhood in downtown Baie-Mahault and find this apartment complex that Soeur Christianson had been looking for-- and as we get closer, we see Roselynne, who was taught by the sisters about a year ago, outside struggling to carry in about 10 huge bags of groceries! She also is the cousin of Junie, our friend who's getting baptized (which will now for sure be THIS SATURDAY by the way 😁). It was a miracle, first because we found those apartments, two because we were able to serve her and help her bring everything in, and third because we found her after she had lost touch with missionaries. We were also able to teach her a little lesson, after struggling a bit to find new friends to teach. So we were really thankful for all that and for God's hand in our lives.

Other awesome things that happened this week...
- A super wonderful Zone Conference with President and Sister Fisher!! Something about this one just felt ultra special and spiritual. Sadly we didn't get to say goodbye before they left because we had to run back to our apartment and get the cake that we had foolishly left sitting nicely on the counter that morning... but what can ya do! :)

- Exchanges with the wonderfully hilarious Soeur Morrell!! I think I spent about 90% of the time just laughing haha. We taught Alex and Yvelt, who are both doing super well!! Ended it with a lunch with all the sisters on the island-- including Soeur Watling, Soeur Christianson, Soeur Morrell, and Soeur Layne!! We ate chicken and fries right next to the ocean while a bunch of fancy French guys ate lobster next to us. It was fun!! :)

- The Laynes are angels and came to our rescue after we popped our tire!! (Un)fortunately we didn't get that far because it popped after we hit a curb RIGHT after turning out of our apartment haha.

- We did an evil birthday surprise for Soeur Morrell!! The Laynes gave us a key to their apartment, so we snuck in and decorated then hid in the dark 'til they came in and we scared them!! It was super fun, good times haha :)

I hope all of you had a wonderful week too!! Unfortunately I forgot the thing I need to upload pictures, but here is one super weird picture we took this morning at the zoo. Enjoy!! (mom note: the photo did not load, hopefully can add it next week)

Love, Soeur Gardner
