Week 42 - Beginning a new decade of life!!

Salut tout le monde! J'espère que vous allez bien!! :) (Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well!) This week was so good!! I think I reached a new level of loving our friends this week. I'm thinking about them all the time and I want to see them every single day and just talk to them for hours because they're all so precious to me! Soeur Christianson and I are possibly low-key obsessed with them haha. We had some really wonderful and spiritual lessons this week. One that particularly stands out in my mind was with the 3 young guys we're teaching getting baptized in April. We saw them with Ode, a member who got home from her mission a couple years ago. She served in London and she's the cutest ever. Anyways, we talked about some of the commandments with them, and I was just amazed at how open and ready they were to accept these commandments. I felt the Spirit testifying to me during that lesson how prepared they are for baptism.  They also taught us a c

Coucou mes amis!! This week was just as good as last week-- I still feel like I'm in a dream because I'm just so so happy and having amazing experiences here! Unfortunately I can't remember a TON from this week because I forgot my daily planner and my journal which usually help me out to write these weekly emails, but I'll do my best to resume what happened this week ;) Tuesday was good! This transfer we're studying Book of Mormon prophets as a disrtict. We talked about Abinadi and how great an example he is of fearless faith and testimony. (we also scared the Elders when they walked into the church so we're feeling proud of ourselves for that hahaha). We also met a really cool man that night I think that we felt really prompted to talk to. He's a dad of three little girls and had a lot of sincere questions of the Gospel. We felt very led by the spirit to talk to him and we're thankful for that!! :) On Wednesday we had an AMAZING lesson

L-R: Someone's hand, cutest little boy ever, cutest Soeur ever, Soeur Morrell, Soeur Hamner, front row three children getting baptized, back row elder and two members who performed the baptism Salut!  This week was transfer week which meant lots of craziness! But things are going SO well in my new area. This area is a lot bigger than the others I've served in-- it includes three bigger towns: Sainte Rose, Lamentin, and Baie-Mahaut. It's also possibly the most beautiful place I've seen in my life. Rolling hills everywhere with huge mountains in the background, blue skies, palm trees and gorgeous flowers, a breath-taking ocean view every once in a while-- plus streets full of the sweetest people on the whole planet who I LOVE!! I could go on about this place forever!! Also, the branch is AMAZING. The soeurs say it's the closest thing to a YSA in our mission because there are lots of young people. We also have some great leaders in our branch, including E

Week 39 - Ahhh My Heart!!!

Bonjouuuurr!!! I hope you're all doing well and having a great week!! We had a pretty awesome week!! On Tuesday we had as awesome lesson with the three young kids from Saint Martin who are getting baptized this Saturday!! We took Soeur Felicité, the primary president, and it was SUCH a fun lesson about the Plan of Salvation and the commandments! The kids continue to impress me more and more each time I see them. They're insanely strong!  On Wednesday we had some other really awesome lessons! One with Danielle, a young mom with a 7 year old son and a little baby girl. And then we had an awesome lesson with Brendon, our other friend preparing for baptism!! He's making a lot of changes in his life and we're so extremely proud of him. On Thursday we met some REALLY cool people contacting, including a really sweet old woman who talked our ear off a bit (she's the cutest) and these two women who were really interested to find out more about our beliefs!  F
